The Prague accommodation fee is CZK 50 per person per night — the legal maximum in Czechia, charged since 1 January 2022. Each municipality sets its own rate by ordinance under Act No. 565/1990 Coll.: Karlovy Vary and Český Krumlov also charge CZK 50, Brno CZK 21. The guest pays, but the provider collects the fee and remits it to the municipality. Children under 18 and ZTP/P card holders are exempt.

It is governed by Act No. 565/1990 Coll. on Local Fees. The accommodation provider typically collects the fee from the guest and remits it to the municipality.
